Have 12 months really passed since we last said this? 2022 has simply flown by!
The motoring world has certainly seen its fair share of the action with a staggering amount of new and exciting cars launched. In motorsport, Max Verstappen and Red Bull have cemented their dominance of Formula One and at Lockton, we enjoyed a fantastic few days at Salon Privé as well as touring up and down the country attending one fantastic club show after another.
So before 2023 gets fully underway, here's a few of the things some of our team are most looking forward to over the next 12 months…
Simon Ambler, Head of Lockton Performance
“Where do I start? I'm always excited by a new year and 2023 looks to be yet another great one. We have loads of exciting plans, including some truly brilliant marketing and advertising, but I think Veloce is probably my highlight. For one, it brings the very best cars in the world to one place. Secondly, we're joined by a dazzling cast of drivers (many of whom are personal heroes of mine). Third, and most importantly, we raise a lot of money for two incredible charities.”

“Meeting clients is a part of the job that gives me huge satisfaction. We're trusted by some really serious car collectors to insure their amazing cars. This means that we not only get to deal with some fantastic clients, but I get to visit them and see their cars, not to mention the mancaves that house them. It doesn't always feel like work!”

“I think Salon Privé is my favourite event of the year. We've been really lucky over the last couple of years with great weather and some magnificent cars on display – everything from vintage to the latest exotics. Seeing the Ferrari F-Car display at Lockton's Drivers' Lounge in 2022 was a real highlight. Beyond the cars, I also get to meet some of our clients, which I really enjoy.”

There's been a lot of changes over the winter, particularly in team management, so it will be fascinating to see what impact that has. Will Max and Red Bull continue to dominate? Will Lewis claim that 8th title? Or will a team outside the Top Three surprise everyone? I can't wait to find out!”

Beyond that, getting out of the office to events is something I always look forward to.
